TNE shares surge today as FY26 guidance upgrade signals AI-powered acceleration. Technology One (ASX: TNE) shares jumped in early trade, comfortably outperforming the broader S&P/ASX 200, after the company delivered a material pre-emptive lift to its full-year outlook at today’s Annual General Meeting. The upgrade comes at a time when many ASX tech names have been under pressure, highlighting TNE’s differentiated momentum. Today’s move follows the announcement of upgraded FY26 guidance projecting Profit Before Tax (PBT) growth of 18-20% and Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) growth of 16-18%. Technology One shares lift on AI-driven confidence boost The upgraded guidance marks a clear acceleration from both the prior range (13-17% PBT) and the conservative 10-12% PBT growth baked into November 2025 broker models. Management explicitly linked the upgraded confidence to early traction in its “SaaS+” evolution, where AI capabilities are being layered into core ERP products. This follows a standout FY25 that delivered 16 consecutive years of record profit, a guidance beat, and explosive UK momentum (UK ARR +50%). The new FY26 numbers represent the strongest growth outlook the market has seen from TNE in years and sit well above street forecasts that had pencilled in more modest single-digit to low-double-digit expansion. Investors are clearly rewarding the explicit tie between AI product enhancements and accelerated top-line and bottom-line growth, shifting the narrative from “valuation consolidation” back to “growth acceleration”. Solid capital and financial position Technology One continues to enjoy a fortress balance sheet underpinned by high-quality recurring revenue. The company is investing $8–9 million in AI Showcase events in H1 FY26, yet still expects first-half PBT growth in the high single digits — a deliberate front-loaded spend that positions the business for stronger second-half delivery. Predictable cash flows and a disciplined capital allocation framework leave ample headroom for further AI development and potential shareholder returns. What’s next… With consensus now materially behind the curve, expect rapid upward revisions to broker targets and EPS forecasts in the coming days. The bear case around slowing ex-UK growth has been directly countered by the AI-SaaS+ tailwind. Near-term catalysts include continued UK expansion, first customer wins from the new AI modules, and the May 2026 interim result. We remain bullish on TNE — the upgrade reinforces its status as Australia’s premium enterprise software compounder. “SaaS+ and our products turbocharged through AI are our not so secret weapons, giving us the confidence to increase PBT growth to 18% to 20%,” said CEO Ed Chung.
