Telix Pharmaceuticals (ASX: TLX) — MPC Update
TLX is one of the more interesting setups on the ASX right now. The stock is sitting at A$15.16, the sell-side consensus sits at A$26.10, and the newsflow over the past 48 hours has been uniformly positive. That gap doesn't usually persist without a reason — and the reason here…
Recent News Flow The week has been unusually busy. The European Medicines Agency accepted Telix's Marketing Authorisation Application for Pixlumi (TLX101-Px) — its glioma PET imaging agent — setting off a 210-day assessment clock. There is no commercially available 18F-FET PET product anywhere in Europe right now. That's not a niche market gap. It's a clean run at a new geography with no incumbent. On the therapeutics side, ProstACT Global Part 1 data was presented as a late-breaking oral at ASCO 2026. All 36 patients completed both doses of TLX591-Tx per protocol. No new safety signals, no dose-limiting issues, hematologic events transient and manageable. Part 2 — the 490-patient randomised expansion — is already enrolling across Australia, New Zealand, Canada and several other jurisdictions, with FDA engagement underway to bring the US in via IND amendment. And separately, Novartis withdrew its EMA application to expand Pluvicto into earlier-line mCRPC, which quietly clears European competitive space for TLX591-Tx before it's even approved. The United Imaging MOU, signed today, is the least financially material item this week but arguably the most strategically interesting — a US partnership combining Telix's molecular imaging with AI scanner platforms, initially centred on Pixclara. That starts to look important in September. What's Priced In At around A$15, the market is essentially pricing the Illuccix and Gozellix PSMA imaging franchise and not much else. Call it an A$800–960m revenue run rate, with a meaningful execution discount applied for the RLS radiopharmacy network's margin drag. Pixclara and Zircaix are in the price somewhere, but clearly not as near-certainties — the discount on both is heavy. The therapeutics pipeline — TLX591-Tx, TLX250-Tx, TLX101-Tx — is priced at zero. All of it. That's not controversial: the sell-side says so explicitly. The consensus target of A$26.10 gets there on probability-weighted Pixclara and Zircaix approvals, continued PSMA franchise growth, and still zero for therapeutics. What nobody is pricing: the theranostic pair working as a paired commercial platform (TLX250-Px imaging + TLX250-Tx therapy in kidney cancer); TLX591-Tx Phase 3 success in prostate cancer; and Pixclara as a companion diagnostic that actually unlocks TLX101-Tx's commercial path in glioblastoma. That last one matters more than people realise. Price Sensitivity The FDA acceptance for Pixclara was low-to-moderate price sensitivity on its own. The market knew the resubmission happened — it was disclosed March 16 — so acceptance was the expected next step, and the PDUFA date is incremental. Mild positive reaction at best; it removes the binary risk of FDA refusing the filing, but does nothing about the bigger binary on September 11. The more interesting move happens as that date approaches. If FDA feedback or any clinical signal starts pointing toward an approval trajectory, that's when Pixclara's role as TLX101-Tx's companion diagnostic begins to matter: Pixclara approved means patient selection for TLX101-Tx therapy is validated, which means TLX101-Tx gets a commercial on-ramp that currently sits at zero in every model. That chain reaction is worth watching closely. Our View The convertible bond refinancing in April told you something. US$600m upsized from US$550m on strong demand, priced at 1.50% for five years. Institutional investors handed Telix more money than it asked for at a very cheap rate. Those are not the actions of a market that thinks this company is broken — that's a market that sees the imaging franchise as a durable cash engine and is happy to fund the therapeutics pipeline at low cost while the approvals play out. FY26 guidance of US$950–970m excludes Pixclara, Zircaix and every therapeutic candidate. If Pixclara gets FDA approval on September 11, that guidance gets revised up, and the companion diagnostic logic for TLX101-Tx starts becoming a real conversation. Three separate pipeline shots — Pixclara, Zircaix, TLX591-Tx — each currently priced at somewhere between zero and a haircut, sitting inside a company generating close to a billion dollars in annual revenue.
